Kuniyoshi’s 55 Cats on the Tōkaidō: EP. 2 Shizuoka East

Part of Kuniyoshi’s 55 Cats on the Tōkaidō · Episode 2

Each animal stands for a post town on the road from Edo to Kyoto, but the connections are rarely straightforward. Compare Kuniyoshi’s lively cat poses with the geography of the route and see which Japanese place-name puzzles you can unravel.
